Staticure® Wide Format Kit Instructions
Kit Includes:
- 1 roll of Staticure® Elastic™ anti-static cord (5 meter roll)
- 6 magnets for mounting
- 1 bottle of Staticure® Spray (4 oz.)
- 1 pair of Staticure® Gloves (1 pair)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
How To Install the Staticure® Elastic cord:
- Cut the roll of Staticure® Elastic cord to fit the width across the machine.
- Feed the cord through the hole in the magnet. Tie a knot to secure it.
- The cord is typically placed across one side of the substrate, above or below the surface. If the substrate is thick or multilayered, both sides may need to be covered by the cord and neutralized.
- The Staticure® Elastic is attached to the machine using the magnets. Magnets are mounted to the metal of the machine. (CLICK HERE to watch the Installation VIDEO).
- Cord can be in direct contact with the surface to be neutralized, or it can be placed no more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) away from the surface to be neutralized.
How To Use the Staticure® Spray:
- Heavy duty Staticure® Spray is provided to stop the regeneration of static on the substrate caused by a machine’s pull rollers and any surfaces close to the print head. (CLICK HERE to watch VIDEO of uses for the Staticure® spray).
- After removing the static charge from the substrate with the Staticure® ionWand or the Staticure® Elastic cord, you may experience the regeneration of static electricity. Simply spray or wipe the static dissipating solution on the machine rollers, or on any surface where static is regenerated, and allow it to dry. This will eliminate the tribo-electric re-generation of static charge.
- Spray the solution on rugs or tile to minimize the charging of persons.
WARNING: Staticure® Spray causes eye irritation if it is sprayed into the eyes.
If product comes into contact with eyes, flush eyes thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, consult a physician.
How To Use the Staticure® Gloves:
- Use the Staticure® Gloves when handling substrates to prevent the development of static electricity on films, plastics, and other materials prone to carry a static charge. (CLICK HERE to watch a VIDEO of the Staticure® Gloves).
- The Staticure® Gloves actually remove static on any surface by exaction.™ By touching or passing the gloves near any plastic surface, the static charge is instantly removed.
- Use the Staticure® Gloves to prevent fingerprinting and dust attraction to any insulative surface.
